"Gregg is very easy to work with. He doesn't make you feel uncomfortable with ideas that may seem odd; he presents solutions that will mitigate building expenses." David and Sharon Foster
In 1991, Gregg B. Creighton was approached by a gentleman who wanted sketches for a house he wanted to build on the Willamette River. The steep site included the ruins of the 1884 Palatine Hill water pumping station at the water's edge. The well-traveled man wanted Gregg to design a villa, utilizing materials from all over the world, perched on the banks of the river. The renovation began on the remaining portion of the pumping station, which would become the foundation for the owner's dream home. The sketches evolved into a 16,000-square-foot, six-story house that would make a king blush. Of course, it has an elevator, an Italian tile dome, indoor pool and several lavish bedroom suites. The dramatic views of the river, Portland skyline, and Mt. Hood can be seen from almost every room. This home was designed and built to look like a 500-year-old Tuscan villa.
